Here at Bensham Gospel Hall, we love to welcome students. Many students come to Newcastle and Gateshead to study at the nearby Universities and colleges and because we come from various parts of the world, we know what it's like to live in a different country (or even a different part of the country) and the challenges of getting established.

For students who are already Christians, we believe that this is an incredibly valuable time for you to spend in service for Christ. Joining a local church to worship Christ with other Christians is vital to maintaining your spiritual health. At Bensham, we will endeavour to help you by helping you grow in your love for Christ and his word, by helping you deal with intellectual challenges to Christianity that University life can bring, and by helping you with the various practical challenges of being a student away from home.

For students who are not Christians, we are eager to tell you why we love Jesus Christ, and why we think the message of his life, death and resurrection is true. You don't have to be a Christian to come to our meetings, nor do we want to coerce you into any kind of decision. Rather, we want to share with you the message that we have come to love, and to show by our lives and our love, that this message is true and life-changing.

For all students, we run a mid-week (usually Thursday) evening (usually 6:30pm) Bible study/discussion group where we have pizza together and read the Bible together. This runs during term-time. In past years we have used material from the Christianity Explored course, Discipleship Explored course, and study guides from the Good Book Company. If you want to find out more, contact us using the link on the left and we'll get in touch with you.
