What do we Believe?

Everything that we believe is based alone on what the Holy Bible says, as the Holy Bible is God's Word to mankind.

We believe:

The Holy Bible is God's living written word to all of mankind, and we believe that every word was inspired by God, not just the ideas and concepts.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" The Bible, 2 Timothy 3 verse 16.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." The Bible, Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12.

The Holy Bible records actual events in human history, beginning at the creation of the universe and ending with events yet to happen.

All of mankind has sinned (broken God's perfect laws) and fallen short of God's perfect standard:

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." The Bible, Romans chapter 3 verse 23.

Because of our sin, we need to be saved from God's judgement:

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." The Bible, 1 Timothy chapter 2 verses 3-5.

We can only be saved by God's Son, Jesus Christ the Lord:

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father but by me." The Bible, John chapter 14 verses 1-2.

Christians should be baptised by immersion in water as an outward sign that they have been saved.

"Then they that gladly received his word [ salvation from God] were baptized:" The Bible, Acts of the Apostles chapter 2 verse 41.

Jesus Christ the Lord commanded his followers to remember Him each Sunday by "breaking bread and drinking from the cup", to meet with other Christians to pray and study the Bible.

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine [teaching] and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." The Bible, Acts of the Apostles chapter 2 verse 42.

The need to reach out to others in the world that do not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour:

"And He [Jesus Christ] said unto them, 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;'" The Bible, Mark chapter 16 verses 15-16.
